Department of History caters to students with various capabilities hailing from rural and urban backgrounds. Dedicated faculty members are duty-bound in transacting both curricular and extra-curricular knowledge. The department ensures enhanced participation of students from the department in voluntary organizations and other club functions on the campus. The department has the advantage of the existence of places of historical and cultural importance nearby (Heritage centers like Fort Kochi, Mattanchery, North Paravoor and institutions like Hillpalace and State Archives)
