Calling All Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students: Join the Student Research Forum!
We extend a warm invitation to all UG and PG students to become a part of the Student Research Forum, alongside various other college clubs and cells. The forum operates under the guidance of the Research Committee, with one student representative nominated from each department to serve on the organizing committee, in conjunction with faculty members from the Research Committee.
Objectives of the Forum
- Cultivate and nurture a research-oriented mindset among students.
- Motivate, guide, and support students in presenting and publishing research papers.
Any undergraduate or postgraduate student from the college is welcome to join the forum and actively contribute to its activities.

Report of the DCE Sponsored Seminar on Structural Equation Modeling as part of Research Orientation Seminar Series (ROSS) Organised by the Research Committee, Government College Tripunithura.
The Seminar 7 of the Research Orientation Seminar Series (ROSS) organized by the Research Committee, Government College Tripunithura in association with IQAC was held on the topic Structural Equation Modelling on 24th & 25th November 2023.
Dr. Ajay Joseph (Assistant Professor and Research Guide in Commerce, Bharata Mata College Thrikkakara) served as the resource person for both the days.
About 40 external participants (teachers and research scholars) registered for the event the aspirant teachers and PG students of the host institution also attended the event.
Day1 : The first technical session discussed on Basics of Scale Development and Exploratory Factor Analysis. The second technical session covered the basics of AMOS. The internationally accepted practices were illustrated with examples during the session. The third technical session provided a detailed explanation on Confirmatory Factor Analysis. The forth technical session also provided a detailed hands on experience on CFA.
Day 2: The fifth technical session presented basics of Structural Equation Modelling. The sixth technical session presented basics of mediation and mediation. The seventh technical session illustrated hands on experience on SEM. The last technical session covered reporting of results for publications.
All the sessions were followed up by interactions with audience and constructive discussions and Q&A were made. The participants expressed their happy learning experience and all are looking forward to the coming events in the series.

The Seminar 5 of the Research Orientation Seminar Series (ROSS) organized by the Research Committee, Government College Tripunithura in association with IQAC was held on the topic Moderation and Mediation Analysis on 8th and 9th December 2023.

About 40 external participants (teachers and research scholars) registered for the event the aspirant teachers and PG students of the host institution also attended the event.
Day 1: The first technical session discussed on Theoretical Framework and Hypothesis Development. The second technical session covered the Do’s and Do Not’s of Model Development. The internationally accepted practices were illustrated with examples during the session The third technical session provided a detailed explanation on formative and reflective variables. This experience was well commented as it created a greater learning experience. The forth technical session also provided a detailing on the concept of intervening variables which stands as a basis for model development.
Day 2: The fifth technical session presented theorizing moderation and mediation hypotheses. The sixth technical session presented testing of moderation and mediation hypotheses. The seventh technical session illustrated moderated mediation and mediated moderation hypotheses. The last technical session covered reporting of results for publications.
All the sessions were followed up by interactions with audience and constructive discussions and Q&A were made. The participants expressed their happy learning experience and all are looking forward to the coming events in the series.

The first technical session discussed on Academic Content Seeking Strategies and Exploratory Content Seeking. Different Artificial Intelligence tools of present day research were brought to the notice of the audience.
The second technical session covered Systematic Literature Review and its Process, Protocols and Frameworks. The internationally accepted practices were illustrated with examples during the session
The third technical session provided a hands on experience for participants on Thematic Literature Review. This experience was well commented as it created a greater learning experience.
The last technical session also provided a hands on experience on Citation and Reference Management Using Zotero. Use of standard procedure of reference management being one of the most important aspect of research, participants could learn it with experience.

The 1st Seminar of the Research Orientation Seminar Series (ROSS) organized by the Research Committee, Government College Tripunithura in association with IQAC was held on the topic Philosophy of Research and Problem Formulation in Research on 11th September 2023.
Dr. U. Krishnakumar (Dean, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Viswavidyapeetham) and Dr. Vineeth. K. M. (Assistant Professor and Research Guide, Government College Tripunithura) served as the resource persons for the event.
More than 40 external participants (teachers and research scholars) registered for the event the aspirant teachers and PG students of the host institution also attended the event.
The event started with inaugural session presided over by Dr. Priya. P. Menon (Principal). Dr. Vineeth. K. M. (Convener) officially welcomed the gathering. Dr. U. Krishnakumar (Dean, School of Arts and Sciences, AVVP) inaugurated the event and delivered the key note address. His rich experience of above 44 years in academics at premier institutions including IIT had enlightened the young aspirants to catch up with the noble heights of research and philosophy of research. Mr. Eugene George (IQAC Coordinator) and Mr. Ajish. A. (PTA Secretary) Offered Felicitations. Dr. Niji. C. I. (Member, Research Committee) proposed vote of thanks to the inaugural session.
The second and post lunch technical session was handled by Dr. Vineeth. K. M. (Assistant Professor and Research Guide, Government College Tripunithura) on Problem Formulation in Research. The deliberations on exploratory tools for topic search and approaches to problem formulation attracted serious interest among the audience.
